Although this is a piece from the Summer, I wanted to show the cleaned up and updated version that has been selected for use by the restaurant. 10 Pieces will be produced, 5 for each location. This is really exciting. It’s nice to feel relevant! This is also now on display in the halls of the UT Arlington Fine Arts building. Thanks to all of those in the graduate program who gave their critiques along the way.

07/04/2009Project 2 – Design Texas – Simple & Playful
07/01/2009This is the pretty-much-final edition of a poster for the Maverick Activity Center on campus at UT Arlington. The idea behind this project is to create a near-flat design that has some kind of play of imagery.
My execution of this divides the space with 3 kinds of playing fields found at or around the facilities on campus. they share 3 horizontal rules that divide them individually as you might find in a swimming pool, basketball court, or tennis court.
The message : The MAC is fun, unintimidating and has variety.
Project 49 – Local Posterer Extraordinaire
06/18/2009I like this guy’s motivation. I stumbled upon this on the Communication Arts webpage and found it be pretty inspirational. Here’s why.
This designer walks his own town, photographs, then creates a poster for each part of the city. These are fantastic posters, crafted and classic in that 50’s blue and dirty-white and pulls from landmarks of the town to make engaging posters that are such a welcomed change to the typical squander that one usually finds attached to a light pole while walking down a main street.
